Why it matters

In the United States, over 350,000 families are impacted by out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest each year. Because roughly 70% to 88% of these medical emergencies happen inside private residences, family members are frequently the primary witnesses, initial responders, or those left dealing with the sudden trauma and grief.
